Andrea Hunt is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of management experience in regenerative medicine, cell and gene therapy, biologics, and medical devices. She has a proven track record as a corporate entrepreneur, specializing in the commercialization of new products and solutions. Hunt's extensive expertise spans a wide spectrum of therapeutic areas, making her a valuable asset in the healthcare industry. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for OX2 Therapeutics and is an advisor to the CrossWork Midas Venture Fund where her strategic insights and leadership skills continue to drive innovation and growth. She previously served on the Catalyst Biosciences board where was chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and member of Audit, Compensation and Science and Technology during her tenure.
Throughout her illustrious career, Hunt has held several significant leadership positions. At Shire, she was Vice President of New Product Gene Therapy, Neuroscience, Oncology, and Ophthalmology. She also served as Vice President and Global Franchise Head for Blood Disorders at Baxalta. Her tenure at Baxter International included roles such as Vice President, Lead for BAX855 and Gene Therapy in the Biosciences Division, and Vice President of Regenerative Medicine. Hunt's diverse background and successful track record in medical devices, biotechnology, start-ups, biopharmaceuticals, and product development highlight her ability to lead and innovate in complex and dynamic environments.
